Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Site Engineer to join our on-site teams delivering water, environment and civil projects across the South of England. You will ensure setting out, integrity of as-built surveys and support the Site Manager with safety, planning and resource management.

The role requires CSCS and SSSTS, an engineering qualification (HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering) and strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • CSCS and SSSTS are required.
  • Engineering qualification (HNC or Degree) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring standard procedures are adopted in setting out operations and communicating information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Site management and carrying out ‘as built’ surveys on completed works.
  • Assist the Site Manager with initial set-up, ensuring systems and procedures are in place; support safety standards throughout the project; assist planning and monitoring output.
  • Financial control and logging material deliveries; manage and review plant levels.
  • Assist Site Manager and Quantity Surveying by compiling data to record resources used on each activity.

Set for record investment in AMP8 – more than double that of AMP7 – MMB will bring its strong track record of innovation and direct-delivery to drive a programme of work to improve water and wastewater treatment, water and wastewater networks, storm overflows, flooding resilience, and bioresources.

With sites located across the South of the region including; Poole, Dorset and Bournemouth.

The Role Of a Site Engineer Includes
  • Ensuring standard company procedures are adopted in carrying out setting out operations as per the test and inspection, and that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors
  • Site Management and carrying out ‘as built’ surveys on completed works
  • Assist the Site manager in theinitialset-up, ensuring company systems and procedures are in place and implemented; supporting the Site Manager inmaintainingand enforcing safety standards throughout the project; support the site team in planning and monitoring output
  • Financial Control and ensuring company cost systems are kept up to date by logging material deliveries, managing and reviewing plant levels
  • Assisting the Site manager and Quantity Surveying Department by compiling data to record resourcesutilisedon each activity.
What You’ll Need
  • CSCS and SSSTS
  • HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Understand civil engineering principles and practices
  • An understanding of methods, materialsand technical aspects relevant to the project
  • Excellentorganisationand problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholdersA valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
