Job summary

CDM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a major water/wastewater project at Bran Sands, Middlesbrough. This permanent role requires a strong civil engineering background and hands-on delivery on site.

You will work with Site Management and Engineering teams to ensure works are completed safely, accurately and to the required specification, with responsibilities covering setting-out, surveying, drawings inspection, and QA documentation.

Site Engineer - Water / Wastewater

Location: Bran Sands, Middlesbrough

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor working on a major wastewater project at Bran Sands, Middlesbrough.

This is a permanent opportunity for a Site Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering and water/wastewater projects, looking to join a busy project team and play a key role in the successful delivery of the works.

You will work closely with the Site Management and Engineering teams, supporting the technical delivery of the project and ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and to the required specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying of civil engineering works
• Providing engineering support to the Site Management team
• Checking levels, dimensions and tolerances
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records
• Reviewing drawings and specifications
• Supporting the planning and sequencing of works
• Liaising with subcontractors and site teams
• Carrying out quality checks and inspections
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design and specification
• Assisting with technical queries and resolving engineering issues on site
• Maintaining accurate QA and project documentation

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
• Experience on water or wastewater projects would be highly advantageous
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good understanding of construction processes and site delivery
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant engineering qualification preferred
• CSCS and relevant site qualifications
