Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Site Engineer to support the delivery of energy infrastructure works in the Mannington area. This site-based contract role requires day-to-day engineering on site, working closely with construction and project management teams to ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with drawings and project specifications.

The successful candidate will set out, conduct quality checks, review drawings, and coordinate with site managers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Civil Engineer.
• Strong civil engineering and construction knowledge.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day on-site engineering support.
• Set out and ensure works are delivered to drawings and specifications.
• Support delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure works.
• Carry out quality checks and maintain engineering records.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Identify and resolve technical issues on site.

Rate: £400-£450 per day CIS
Location: Mannington / Bournemouth
Working Pattern: Site based

Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a background in civil engineering or major infrastructure projects looking for your next contract opportunity within the Energy sector? We are looking for a Site Engineer to support the delivery of energy infrastructure works in the Mannington area.

You will provide day-to-day engineering support on site, working closely with the construction and project management teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.

The role will involve supporting civil engineering activities across the project, including setting out, quality assurance, technical coordination and resolving engineering issues as works progress.

Previous substation experience is not essential, making this a good opportunity for an Engineer from a wider civils or infrastructure background looking to gain further experience within the Transmission & Distribution sector.

Job Role

• Providing day-to-day engineering support across the project
• Setting out and ensuring works are delivered accurately to drawings and specifications

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer / Civil Engineer
• Engineering degree or relevant equivalent qualification
• Strong civil engineering and construction knowledge
• Experience working on infrastructure or major construction projects
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of site health & safety
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• CAT 3 authorisation would be advantageous but is not essential
• Previous substation / T&D experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence
