Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support Civil engineering rail projects across the UK. The role focuses on setting out with total station and GPS, overseeing earthworks, duct installations, troughs and RC bases, and collaborating with the project management team on site.

You will supervise on site, ensure safety compliance, maintain documentation, and drive works to meet programme and spec.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out earthworks, duct installations, troughs and RC bases.
• PTS Card required on site.
• Strong communication skills and safety mindset.

I am working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor who are currently looking to hire an experienced Site Engineer due to a number of new contracts being awarded. My client operates across the civils sector on rail projects.

Site Engineer responsibilities:

• Setting out using total station & GPS. Works include earthworks, duct installations, troughs, and RC bases.
• Working alongside the project management team.
• Site supervision.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Ensuring works are being carried out in accordance to agreed methodology and method.
• Ensuring the correct documentation is held on site.
• Ensuring works are completed on time and to specification.

Site Engineer requirements:

• Experience with setting out earthworks, duct installations, troughs, and RC bases.
• PTS Card (Essential)
• Right to work in the UK.
• CSCS card
• SSSTS/SMSTS ticket holder (preferable)
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication skills.
