Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing is recruiting a Site Engineer to join its Energy Team on a major electricity transmission framework in Caithness.

You will set out works, resolve technical problems and produce survey information, ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards on site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Experience on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Experience in surveying and setting out.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, environmental and sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set out the works accurately and control dimensions.
• Resolve technical problems at every level.
• Carrying out inspections in line with the Inspection and Test Plan.
• Produce survey information and as-built records.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and that construction follows contract requirements.
• Provide site teams with clear, accurate information and check environmental requirements.
• Support Site Management with KPIs, material reconciliation and progress reports.

NT Engineering & Manufacturing is recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and energy infrastructure contractor for a Site Engineer to join its Energy Team on a major electricity transmission framework in Caithness.

What you’ll be doing

• Setting out the works accurately and controlling dimensions
• Resolving technical problems at every level
• Carrying out inspections in line with the Inspection and Test Plan
• Producing survey information and red-lined drawings for as-built records
• Making sure equipment is calibrated and in date, and that construction follows the contract requirements and procedures
• Giving site teams clear, accurate information, and checking project environmental requirements and the storage and suitability of materials
• Supporting the Site Management team with KPIs, material reconciliation and progress reports

What we’re looking for

• A degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Previous experience in an engineer role on construction or civil engineering projects
• Experience in surveying and setting out
• A sound understanding of quality, safety, health, environmental and sustainability requirements
