Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Site Engineer for our Construction team in Greater London. The role is on-site with a 40-hour week (Mon–Fri) and some flexibility in hours.

You will support the Construction team by establishing and maintaining setting out, recording workmanship, and providing engineering support to resolve technical queries. CSCS and SMSTS are required for this position.

Qualifications

• You have an engineering or related subject qualification.
• You're professionally qualified or working towards membership of a Professional Body (e.g. CIOB, ICE).
• You have demonstrable experience in a site operational role.
• You're committed to maintaining safety standards and promoting quality in all aspects of your work.
• You hold a CSCS card and SMSTS certification.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction.
• Recording and testing workmanship and materials, maintaining accurate quality records.
• Providing engineering support to overcome technical problems and resolve queries.
• Assisting in the preparation of sketches and as-built drawings for site distribution.
• Regularly checking setting out points, benchmarks, and ensuring all equipment has valid calibration certificates.

Job description

We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our Construction team based in Greater London. This role will be based on site. Location: Greater London, Site BasedHours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Site Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our projects are delivered accurately and to the highest quality standards. Working alongside our site team, you'll establish and maintain essential engineering controls and processes that support successful project delivery. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise while contributing to meaningful construction projects across education, health, defence, and other key sectors.

What will you be responsible for?
