Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Site Engineer for highways works in Cambridge. The role involves day shifts, setting out roads, earthworks, sewers, and reinforced concrete structures, with a focus on QA and timely delivery.

You will liaise with the project team, guide junior members, and keep daily site records as part of a 6-month assignment in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of Highways standards and procedures.
• Experience across infrastructure, roads and sewers projects.
• Strong setting-out experience.
• Knowledge and experience of high-speed road projects and setting out engineering.
• Experience working for a major highways contractor.
• Experience with road works, drainage works & 278 works.

Site Engineer

Location: Cambridge

Rate: £(Apply online only)/Day - Outside IR35 - Ltd company is an option

Duration: 6 months

Site Engineer required for highways works in Cambridge.

You will be working predominantly over day shifts, covering all aspects of highways site engineering, setting out & compliance including quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with the project team to ensure the project is delivered to a high quality and on time
• Offering guidance and direction to more junior members of the team
• Setting out of roads, earthworks, sewers and reinforced concrete structures
