Project delivery
- Setting out, levelling and surveying the construction site
- Ensure compliance with construction drawings and record any variances
- Overseeing quality control
- Ensure Site diaries and allocation sheets are produced
- Keep contemporary records
- Review Contract programme with site team
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance
- Attend weekly site meetings
- Coordinate with the design manager to ensure that the design activities are visible and that all activities are aligned to support the programme
Lean construction
- Lean construction forms an integral part of our approach to project delivery and has been identified as essential to the sustained growth of the business
Planning, Risk & HSQE
- Attend and contribute to collaborative planning sessions on a fortnightly basis
- Attend project Risk Review meetings on a fortnightly basis
- Liaise with Lean Champions
- Contribute to the collaborative action plan and review regularly
- Outcome: Insert agreed outcome
- HSQE Lead by example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HSQE best practice, ensuring compliance with company procedure, policy and legal obligations.
- Ensure RAMS and safe systems of work are followed by site teams
- Supervise temporary works operations
- Produce permits and ensure safe digging and service avoidance procedures are followed
- Produce as built drawings
- Promote contribution reporting
- Ensure all waste transfer notes are recorded
- Report and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Support environmental and sustainability initiatives on site.
Supplementary responsibilities
- We operate a team ethos across the Business Unit and strive to assist colleagues in the execution of their duties where this is appropriate and brings added value.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and daily diaries.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical reports.
- Monitor and record quantities completed for valuation purposes.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and stored

Skills & Experience Essential
- Essential Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working on construction projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Desirable CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience in infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or residential construction projects.
- Knowledge of Autocad and digital construction tools
