- Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will take ownership as the site's Electrical Duty Holder, providing technical leadership, electrical governance, electrical compliance oversight, and strategic direction for all electrical systems across the site. This is far more than a compliance role
- You’ll influence major investment projects, shape long-term electrical infrastructure, change and transformation strategy, drive energy and sustainability initiatives, develop electrical engineering capability, and ensure electrical reliability supports the production of world class manufacturing products
Role Responsibilities: Site Electrical Engineering Manager - Senior Duty Manager
- As Site Senior Electrical Duty Holder & Electrical Compliance Manager, you will provide leadership across the entire electrical engineering function, ensuring legal compliance, operational resilience, business continuity and continuous improvement of electrical systems and standards
- The recognised site authority for electrical engineering, work closely with engineering, operations, projects, safety, and environmental teams to deliver world-class performance
- This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence
Electrical Leadership & Duty Holder Responsibilities
- Act as the Site Electrical Duty Holder and lead all electrical governance activities
- Ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations and company engineering standards
- Maintain site electrical standards, procedures, specifications, and governance frameworks
- Support and develop Deputy Duty Holders and competent persons across the site
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to electrical engineers and system engineers
Electrical Compliance & Risk Management
- Lead site-wide electrical compliance strategy and regulatory adherence
- Drive DSEAR and CompEx assessments, action plans, and improvement programmes
- Lead FM Global electrical audits, reviews, and corrective actions
- Ensure safe systems of work, isolation procedures, and permit-to-work compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in electrical safety performance
Site Infrastructure & Electrical Reliability
- Develop long-term electrical distribution and infrastructure strategies
- Ensure reliability and availability of LV and HV systems across the manufacturing campus
- Lead business continuity and contingency planning for critical electrical assets
- Oversee maintenance strategies, asset management, and lifecycle planning
