Job summary

Arup is seeking an early to mid-career Civil Engineer to join the growing site development team in the Sheffield office. You will help deliver integrated infrastructure projects across the UK, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet client needs and sustainability goals.

You will work across the full design lifecycle, from concept through to delivery, using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage and AutoCAD, and pursuing chartership with ICE or equivalent as part of your professional

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
• Experience using design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD or similar packages.
• An interest in digital design, BIM and/or automation within engineering delivery.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem solving.
• Progression toward, or achievement of, professional chartership (ICE or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated and sustainable design solutions.
• Producing technical designs, drawings and reports to a high standard.
• Engaging with clients, stakeholders and project teams to develop practical and innovative outcomes.
• Taking ownership of defined elements of projects, including checking the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Contributing to the continued development of digital engineering and BIM‑led design approaches.
