Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd in Widnes is seeking a Courier & Logistics Manager to coordinate deliveries to site, book carriers via Courier Exchange, and ensure timely, cost-effective material movements.

You will lead driver liaison, plan multi-drop routes, maintain records, and work closely with Stores to prepare pickups and paperwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for all delivery requests and capture details
• Load jobs on the Courier Exchange, review bids and book suitable carriers
• Arrange same-day, next-day and timed deliveries
• Plan multi-drop routes to reduce cost and wasted journeys
• Maintain records of booking references, carrier, cost, project code and proof of delivery
• Brief drivers and track ETAs; handle delays or issues
• Coordinate pickups with Stores and ensure paperwork is complete
• Monitor carrier performance and cost; check invoices
• Provide weekly/monthly reporting on deliveries and spend
• Ensure compliance with insurance and safety procedures
• Identify improvements to delivery and booking procedures
