Job description

Job Title: Site Coordinator - Morpeth

We are recruiting for a Site Coordinator based in Morpeth, offering a salary of £42k per annum depending on experience, plus a company van.

We are a direct delivery specialist contractor serving the water industry and the wider water environment. Currently, we hold 29 frameworks and work with most of the UK’s water companies and the Environment Agency.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Coordinator will be responsible for delivering a wide range of tasks on our Water Frameworks for Northumbrian Water. This includes managing safety, health, environment, quality, and brand standards daily, as well as liaising with the client and its representatives.

You will serve as the vital link between site staff and project management to ensure the smooth operation of all jobs on site. This is a multi-site role involving significant driving.

Responsibilities
  1. Make pre-construction site visits and understand site setup requirements.
  2. Ensure provisions are made for the delivery and storage of plant and equipment, complying with Stonbury’s Anti-Theft Policy.
  3. Assist with updating the project programme.
  4. Liaise with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and plant.
  5. Utilise the Client Portal to keep the client informed of progress, including photos and videos as evidence.
  6. Coordinate with the commercial team regarding early warnings and compensation events.
  7. Conduct site inspections, complete relevant documentation, and escalate issues when necessary.
  8. Mentor site staff, promoting safety, health, environment, and wellbeing.
  9. Monitor and manage subcontractors and specialist contractors, ensuring compliance with RAMs and permits.
Who we’re looking for

The ideal candidate should have experience managing all aspects of a project from start to finish.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to use an iPad to read technical documents such as Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and COSHH Documents.
  • Comfortable with entering confined spaces and working on construction sites.
  • Hold a current CSCS Card (preferably Gold Supervisor) and SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
