Job summary

Personnel Solutions (Midlands) Limited is seeking a Shift Controller in Derby to oversee warehouse operations. You will plan shifts, supervise a 16-person team, and prioritise health and safety while meeting client requirements.

The role requires experience in a similar warehouse supervisory position, excellent organisation, and confidence in leadership. DBS checks and 5 years of work history references are required, with hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Plan shifts to meet client needs.
• Lead a team of 16 people and grow as required.
• Maintain health and safety standards and drive improvements.

• Monitor KPIs and generate reports.
• Create and brief work instructions and risk assessments.
• Utilise MS Office; SAP experience is beneficial.
• Understand warehouse operations and build client relationships.

Shift Controller required for a Client in Derby.

The following are a few key requirements / tasks included in the role:

• Shift planning to ensure the client requirements are met
• Leading a team of 16 people which may increase.
• Health and Safety priority - continuously improving to higher standards
• Drive to ensure H&S and all client requirements are met
• KPI monitoring and reporting
• Work Instructions creation and briefing
• Risk Assessment creation and briefing
• The use of MS office.
• The use of SAP would be beneficial
• A good understand of warehouse working required.
• Building a strong professional relationship with the client

Successful candidates must be experienced and organised and be confident in supervising a team.

You must have experiencing within a similar role e.g. warehouse supervisor.

Hours for this role are Monday- Friday 8am- 4.30pm.

DBS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE, WE CAN PROVIDE ONE AND THE COST WILL BE DEDUCTED OUT OF YOUR FIRST WEEK PAY.
