Job summary

Pertemps Liverpool is seeking a Transport SAP Controller to join our Widnes operation. The role supports yard management by updating the SAP/DAS system and coordinating with operations to ensure timely deliveries.

The successful candidate will maintain SAP data, manage Trailer Units, arrange dock slots, and monitor inbound/outbound flows within a fast-paced environment, while upholding health, safety and risk policies.

Qualifications

• SAP experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Update SAP with amendments, delays, cancellations and deliveries.
• Manage Trailer Units by creating IDs, assigning appointments, and uploading additional TUs as required.
• Monitor and coordinate deliveries for direct and indirect operations.
• Liaise with relevant departments on delivery issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain and arrange dock slots in line with operational requirements.
• Identify and report operational problems and delays, escalating complex issues to senior management.
• Resolve delivery issues, track delayed vehicles, and support service performance improvements.
• Ensure timely tracking of delayed vehicles entering the site.
• Maintain inbound service levels and operational standards.
• Adhere to company policies and legislation relating to health, safety, environment, and risk management.

Hours of Work: Rotating shifts: 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour, paid breaks

Location: Widnes, WA8

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Role Summary

The Transport SAP Controller will be responsible for updating and maintaining the SAP/DAS system to ensure the efficient flow of yard management operations for inbound deliveries. This role requires close coordination with operational teams to provide accurate and timely information in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Update SAP with amendments, including delays, cancellations, and special deliveries.
• Manage Trailer Units (TUs) by creating IDs, assigning appointments, and uploading additional TUs as required.
• Monitor and coordinate deliveries for direct and indirect operations.
• Liaise with relevant departments regarding delivery issues and escape operational inconsistencies where necessary.
• Maintain and arrange dock slots in line with operational requirements.
• Identify and report operational problems and delays, escalating complex issues to senior management.
• Resolve delivery issues, track delayed vehicles, and support service performance improvements.
• Ensure timely tracking of delayed vehicles entering the site.
