Job summary

Astute is recruiting a Site Completion Engineer for an Energy from Waste project in Essex on a long-term contract. The role focuses on final inspections, TOP reporting, design coordination, and ensuring accurate as-built documentation.

Applicants must have 5+ years in large-scale industrial plant commissioning, with EF W plant experience and P&ID knowledge. The position is based in Essex on a long-term contract with a daily rate of around £700, outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years within construction on a large-scale industrial plant as a commissioning lead engineer.
• Experience on Energy from Waste (EFW) plants and process/operation knowledge of thermal plants.
• Strong understanding of P&ID's, isometrics, construction drawings and industrial process systems.

Responsibilities

• Participating in construction final inspections (FIS) with the construction team.
• Coordinating potential design modification with the Project Engineering Manager.
• Preparing and reporting progress on Turnover Packages (TOP).
• Coordinating piping support inspections and ATEX inspections with engineering, suppliers, and third-party certifiers.
• Ensuring accurate as-built P&IDs are provided, collected, and transferred back to the Project Engineering Manager.
• Actively promoting compliance with project HSEQ requirements across the team.
