Job description

Job Title: Site Chemist

Our main business line, Tradebe Environmental Services, is an international leader in recycling, energy recovery, and circular economy, managing various environmental liabilities sustainably. We serve the entire industrial complex with high safety and quality standards.

We are currently seeking a Site Chemist to join our team in Liverpool.

The Role
  • Organise Tradebe’s incoming waste loads, acceptance, and inspection to maintain high standards.
  • Manage waste routing and diversion to optimise efficiency.
  • Provide technical assessments to support site management in strategic growth.
  • Ensure compliance with BMS procedures for waste acceptance and recording, including recyclates.
  • Work outdoors on-site in various environmental conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Support analytical testing and assessment requirements, including EA/UU technical issues.
  • Ensure operations comply with BMS, ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and report trends.
  • Raise non-conformances for incoming loads as per BMS procedures.
  • Generate load and dispatch paperwork in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records, including stock control, production, and in-process documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support company growth initiatives.
The Person

Ideally, you will have:

  • At least an HNC qualification.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An energetic and proactive approach.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience handling hazardous wastes.
