Tata Steel in Port Talbot is recruiting a CDM Facilitator (Electrical) to enforce safety compliance and provide expert CDM guidance on site. The role is 100% on site at Port Talbot and requires an electrics-focused safety background with construction experience.

The position offers a fixed 36-month contract with a start ASAP pending medical checks, a salary of £40,788 per year, and opportunities to influence safety across the project teams and contractors.

Formación

• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate required.
• Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ3 or higher).
• Good knowledge of construction techniques and processes.
• Proficient IT literacy, especially with Windows Office, SAP & Lotus Notes.
• Experience in on-site heavy industries, major construction, oil or gas works.

Responsabilidades

• Support and advise project teams in coordinating, implementing and developing safety systems and procedures.
• Ensure adequate control measures for contractors working for the Project & Design department.
• Maintain compliance with CDM and H&S legislation.
• Support deployment of the Tata Health and Safety Management System and Safety Annual Plan.
• Identify improvements in health, safety and environmental standards on the site.
• Update Safety Systems including Compliance Register and Audit Index.
• Audit safety compliance with regards to behaviour and inspections.
• Liaise with Safety Advisors to provide information and SME knowledge.
• Develop and issue safety bulletins, alerts and toolbox talks.
• Provide information for auditors, meetings and stakeholders.
• Deliver local area safety inductions and training packages.
• Track and drive safety training such as HAVS, Fire, Asbestos, Gas Awareness.
