Job summary

National Gas, the UK's national gas network, is seeking an administrator to support the Welding and Inspection team. The role focuses on maintaining weld packs, inspection records, and QA documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility across systems.

You will assist with document control, certification management, procurement support, and project administration, contributing to compliant and efficient delivery of inspection activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or coordination role involving technical, quality, or project documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
• Experience using business systems and databases.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Understanding of document control principles or quality processes.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain weld packs, inspection records, and quality documentation to support project delivery
• Coordinate the preparation and issue of quality assurance documentation to internal teams and customers
• Support Welding and Inspection Engineers and Inspectors with document control, certification management, and project administration
• Maintain accurate project information across systems including SharePoint, Salesforce, SAP, and other business databases
• Keep welding, inspection, and contractor records up to date and easily accessible
• Raise purchase orders and support procurement activities through business systems and processes
• Contribute to project reporting, customer deliverables, and close‑out documentation
