Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Project Manager for a large global manufacturer, based on client site in Peterborough. The role focuses on delivering diverse projects from concept to completion within a fast-paced UK Global Programme Management team.

You will manage schedules with Microsoft Project, control budgets and risks, and drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful outcomes. This is a 12-month, site-based contract with typical hours across Mon-Thu and a PAYE rate of £28.75–£30.75

Qualifications

Degree or 3+ years in project management required.
Background in engineering/manufacturing/product development beneficial.
Strong communication and MS Project/Excel skills required.
Prince2 or PMP qualifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Leading allocated projects from the concept stage right through to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
Developing and maintaining accurate, resource-loaded project schedules using Microsoft Project.
Managing project and programme budgets, cost tracking, risk registers, and scope change requests.
Facilitating project meetings, leading chartering sessions, and driving integration and compression sessions with both internal and external teams.
Producing timely reports to communicate project progress and performance to the Senior Leadership Team.
Motivating team members, mentoring project leaders, and building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Learning the client's specific project accounting systems to produce related financial reports.
