Job summary

Randstad Construction & Property is supporting a world-class manufacturing business in Peterborough to recruit a Project Manager for their UK Global Programme Management team. You will steer diverse initiatives from concept to delivery, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes.

This on-site, 12-month contract requires strong MS Project skills, budget tracking, and risk management across a fast-paced portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years of related PM experience.
• Background in engineering, manufacturing, product development, or R&D environments.
• Strong MS Project and Excel skills.
• Prince2, PMP, or equivalent qualifications are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead allocated projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules using MS Project.
• Manage project and programme budgets, cost tracking, risk registers, and scope changes.

Are you a dynamic and driven Project Manager looking to make a significant impact with a large global manufacturer? We are thrilled to be representing a world-class manufacturing enterprise in their search for a talented Project Manager to join their fast-paced UK Global Programme Management team! Location: Peterborough (Fully Site-Based)

Pay Rate: £28.75 - £30.75 PAYE per hour

Contract: 12 months

Working Hours: Mon to Thur 08:30 - 16:45, Fri 08:30 - 16:15

This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain exposure across multiple business areas and manage a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be part of a dynamic department; comprising project planning professionals and project managers, who collectively support over 50 projects both internally and externally

Key Responsibilities

• Leading allocated projects from the concept stage right through to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
• Developing and maintaining accurate, resource-loaded project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Managing project and programme budgets, cost tracking, risk registers, and scope change requests.
• Facilitating project meetings, leading chartering sessions, and driving integration and compression sessions with both internal and external teams.
• Producing timely reports to communicate project progress and performance to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Motivating team members, mentoring project leaders, and building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• Learning the client's specific project accounting systems to produce related financial reports.

What We Are Looking For

A college or university degree is required, or alternatively, 3-5 years of progressively related experience in the project management field. The client requires a minimum of 3+ years' experience.

We are ideally looking for candidates with a background in engineering, manufacturing, product development, or R&D environments.

Strong communication skills, proven indirect leadership and stakeholder management experience, and excellent Microsoft Project and Excel skills.

Prince 2, PMP, or equivalent qualifications are highly desired, as is previous project resource loading and portfolio cost management experience.
