Job summary

NOV is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician for the Montrose Rig Aftermarket workshop. You will participate in the complete overhaul of specialist equipment, from disassembly through inspection, reassembly, testing and delivery preparation.

The role requires quality workmanship, safety focus and a willingness to develop new technical skills in a busy workshop. You will join a close-knit team with a strong emphasis on collaboration, effective communication and meeting customer deadlines.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical qualification or equivalent technical qualification.
• Practical experience in assembly, disassembly, maintenance or overhaul in industrial/mechanical environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Competence with hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, safety practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect and overhaul mechanical equipment in the workshop.
• Reassemble, test and prepare units for customer delivery.
• Follow procedures to ensure quality, safety and on-time performance.
• Communicate effectively within a rotating shift pattern and with the team.
