Job summary

A leading chemicals manufacturer in North Wales seeks an Engineering Manager on a staff basis to lead engineering and maintenance, ensuring safe and reliable operation of all assets. You will report to the Site Manager and drive asset integrity, maintenance strategy and continuous improvement across the site.

The ideal candidate has senior engineering management experience in high-hazard processes, with a track record in capital projects, compliance (COMAH, PSSR, LOLER) and contractor oversight,

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Significant engineering management experience in manufacturing/processing.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of asset integrity and maintenance best practice.
• Experience managing contractors and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team with a safety-first, continuous-improvement culture.
• Define and deliver the site engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
• Manage budgets, resources and KPIs for engineering performance.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and development across the team.
