Job summary

British Engineering Services Group is seeking a Site Assistant in South West England. You will support rail and highways teams with de-vegetation and enabling works, performing vegetation and debris removal, fence and cladding reinstatement, and culvert-related tasks.

You will work across the Network Rail Western Routes, may travel and do night shifts and weekends, and enjoy benefits including a company vehicle, pension, life cover, and annual salary reviews.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as an operative in a railway or site environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support the rail and highways teams with de-vegetation and enabling work requirements.
• Undertake works such as vegetation removal, debris removal, fence removal & reinstatement, cladding removal & reinstatement, chamber removal & reinstatement, dewatering of culverts & CCTV examinations.
• Deliver works safely according to the Contract Specification and programme, following Company Processes and Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards.

What will you be doing?

As aSite AssistantforXEIAD, part ofBritish Engineering Services Group, you willsupport therail and highways teamswith all de-vegetation and enabling work requirements.

You will also:

• Undertake works such as:
  • Vegetation removal
  • Debris removal
  • Fence removal & reinstatement
  • Cladding removal & reinstatement
  • Chamber removal & reinstatement
  • Dewatering of culverts & CCTV Examinations.
• Deliver works safely andin accordance withthe Contract Specification and programme of works. Ensuring that the team follow the Company Process & Procedures whilst adhering to the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards

You must also be flexible to work across the Network Rail Western Routes, including travel and occasional work away from home. You must also be prepared to work nightshifts and weekends.
