The Camping and Caravanning Club Ltd is recruiting Site Assistants to support campers across our nationwide network of campsites for the 2027 season. You will welcome customers, help with pitches, and ensure high standards of site upkeep and service.

Roles involve 40 hours per week on a seasonal contract, with potential weekend and bank holiday shifts. Ownership of a caravan, driving licence, and strong customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in busy customer environments or teams.
  • Confident using computers and booking systems.
  • Excellent customer-facing and relationship skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Two satisfactory references (post-offer).
  • Must own a Caravan/Motorhome/Campervan/RV at time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on arrival and direct them to their pitch.
  • Maintain site upkeep and perform ground care with equipment.
  • Clean facilities, toilets, reception and service areas; manage grease traps and bins.
  • Take bookings via telephone and in person using the booking system.
  • Manage check-in/check-out and update records.
  • Be on emergency phone rota outside hours as needed.
  • Participate in team updates and training sessions.
  • Conduct site inspections and raise health and safety concerns.
  • Assist with on-site food/beverage service where offered.

We are currently recruiting for Site Assistants to work for us across our sites network for the 2027season!

Our talented Site Assistants are responsible for ensuring that all campers have the best experience when staying with us on one of our campsites.

If you own your own unit and you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service, then this could be the perfect role for you.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To welcome all customers that arrive on site in a friendly and professional manner and show them to their pitch
  • Ensure general upkeep of the site, undertakingground care duties and using both the micro-tractor and hand-operated machinery
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks of the site facilities, toilet and shower blocks, reception and service areas, grease traps and emptying dog bins
  • Take bookings via telephone and face to face using our bespoke booking system
  • Effectively manage the customer check-in and check-out process and update the system accordingly
  • To take responsibility for the emergency phone out of normal hours on a rota basis
  • Attend regular team updates and meetings
  • Attend Club arranged training courses includingon site and at training venues across the UK
  • Carry out regular site inspections/walk rounds and raise any health and safety concerns to the Site Manager
  • Assist with the selling of food and beverages and follow basic food-handling procedures (when working on a site where this service is offered to campers).
Required experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Experience of working within a busy customer environment or team
  • Confident using computers and digital systems, with the ability to complete booking administration, customer records and other day-to-day office tasks while learning new technology
  • Excellent customer facing, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A minimumof two satisfactory references (upon successfully being offered a contract)
  • Must own a Caravan/Motorhome/Campervan/RV at the time of application

Site Assistants are required to work 40 hours a week over a 5-day period which can be over both weekends and bank holidays to meet the needs of the site.

We ask that Site Assistants are prepared to work on any of our sites across the UK network.

Whilst we appreciate that candidates may have a preference for a particular site or region, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate these preferences, and your application will be considered against all of our available site locations. If you are successful and enter our 'Talent Pool' you will be made a maximum of two site location offers. Please be aware if youdo not accept the second offer made to you, you willbe removed from the Talent Pool.

The Club provides a staff pitch for the duration of your contract, complete with an electric hook up point free of charge so you can live and work comfortably on site.

Site Assistants are entitled to 28 days holiday (pro rata).
