Job summary

Carmichael UK in Swindon is seeking a Site Agent to lead the delivery of Civils and Water projects, ensuring safety, quality and cost control on site.

You will work with Contracts/Project Managers, engineers and QS to meet programme targets and maximise value, while maintaining client satisfaction and compliance with CDM and site procedures.

The role requires CSCS, IOSH/SMSTS, and a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Civil Engineering projects as Site Agent.
• Working knowledge of CDM regulations and contract conditions.
• Understanding of project programmes, risk management and cost control.
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent; CSCS.
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS certificate.
• Confined space training.
• Strong communication and team leadership.
• Ability to challenge designs and lead the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of varied Civils and Water projects to time and quality.
• Lead Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen when required, ensuring safety and quality.
• Produce and manage Project Plans, RAMS, ITP, and Waste Plans.
• Maximise contract value and manage procurement schedules.
• Present monthly reports to Client and chair weekly site meetings.
