Job summary

Gibson Recruitment Limited invites applications for a Site Agent (Civil Engineer) on a permanent basis in the Central Belt. The role focuses on civil projects, notably deep drainage works for Scottish Water, with setting out capabilities preferred.

The successful candidate will manage projects, ensure safety and quality compliance, and progress into leadership from a site-based position. Experience in civil engineering and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

Experience as a Site Engineer and/or Site Agent on civil engineering projects.
Civil Engineering qualification (HNC upwards).
Scottish Water experience desirable.
Appropriate knowledge of health and safety policies.
Good working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to prioritise time critical work.
Excellent communication and liaison skills.

Responsibilities

Manage civil engineering projects within cost, programme and quality targets.
Ensure contracts are delivered safely on time and within budget.
Maintain good relationships with clients to avoid disputes.
Demonstrate commercial awareness relevant to the works.
Carry out safety, environmental and quality standards compliance and communicate with staff.
Carry out safety audits as required by line management.
