About the role

Own your career and build something to be proud of at Balfour Beatty. Join our Living Places team as a Site Agent to work with experts who will share their knowledge, provide support, encouragement, and invaluable feedback to help you grow.

What you'll be doing

1. Ensuring surface treatment schemes/programmes (CW surface Dressing, Micro Asphalt, FW Slurry Seal, Retexturing, Surface Preservation, pre-patching/prep works) are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
2. Coordinating with subcontractors, managing schedules, handling permits and regulations, and ensuring quality control and safety compliance.
3. Engaging with customers to understand and deliver their key objectives.
4. Promoting sustainable solutions and environmental compliance across all operations.
5. Managing RAMs, procedures, and SSOW for their section of work.
6. Managing plant movements, signoffs, checklists, and specifications under company requirements/system.
7. Supporting accident investigations with the HSE team.
8. Delivering Daily Dabs Briefings.
9. Investigating effective coordination with subcontractors and project team members.
10. Participating in the management of internal/external design, quality teams, consultants, and customers to meet project deadlines.
11. Identifying and resolving design errors or deficiencies.

Who we're looking for

• Experience in developing and managing work package budgets.
• Familiarity with work package scheduling and timeline management.
• Awareness of regulatory agencies and compliance standards.
• Experience in safety management on construction sites and implementing safety protocols.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and challenges during programmed works.
• Experience in quality assurance and control processes.
• Knowledge of environmentally sustainable practices in construction.
• Experience with construction technology and project management software.
