Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Site Agent for Inverness to support delivery of the Loch na Cathrach Energy Connection project. The role focuses on the ECI stage for SSEN's substation upgrade exports and underground cable installation in the north of Scotland.

You will report to the Project Manager, manage daily site operations, and ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards while controlling costs and coordinating a capable onsite team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
• Ambition and drive in tackling complex engineering challenges.
• Experience at Agent or Sub-Agent level on infrastructure or civil schemes.
• Background in managing construction projects from planning through delivery.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and cost‑control proficiency.
• Effective team coordination and planning skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of health & safety compliance and quality assurance processes.
• Clear and confident communication skills.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Site Agent to join our team on the SSEN Framework, supporting delivery of the £120m Loch na Cathrach Energy Connection. This role will initially focus on the ECI stage for SSEN's substation upgrade exports and underground cable installation in the north of Scotland.

We have extensive experience upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators. Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground, including excavation, cable laying and jointing (fluid‑filled and XLPE), substations, and overhead lines.
