SSEN Transmission is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to support the delivery of a major capital cable infrastructure project. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities across land and subsea cable systems, providing technical leadership, governance and design assurance throughout design, construction and commissioning.
This is primarily an office-based role, with regular travel to project sites across the north of Scotland and Western Isles.
Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Perth
Salary: £85,000 - £102,000 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working closely with project, construction, commercial and contractor teams, you'll help manage technical risk, coordinate engineering interfaces and ensure successful project delivery while maintaining robust engineering standards.
This is primarily an office-based role, with regular travel to project sites across the north of Scotland and Western Isles. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with site teams and experience first‑hand the construction of nationally significant energy infrastructure in some of Scotland's most unique and inspiring locations.
Knowledge of electricity networks, transmission infrastructure, cable projects or the wider energy sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
