Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Limited in London is seeking a Site Agent to join our Civil Engineering & Tunnelling team. As a leading UK subcontractor, we undertake major infrastructure projects and value safety, quality, and collaboration with clients and supply chains.

The Site Agent will lead the site team and subcontractors, monitor progress to programme, maintain QA docs and RAMS/ITPs, and communicate site status and issues clearly to the client.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and autonomously.
• Experience delivering projects to programme.
• Knowledge of QA documentation, RAMS and ITPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead site team supervision including subcontractors.
• Monitor site activities against target programmes and site planning.
• Maintain QA documentation, daily diaries and as-built drawings.
• Prepare and deliver daily site briefings.
• Ensure works meet Works Specification and are delivered safely.
• Attend site meetings and communicate with clients/subcontractors.

We are currently recruiting for an Site Agent to join our the JGL team

As the Agent you will be required to:

• Lead the site team supervision, including subcontractors
• Monitor site activities against the target programmes and site planning
• Ensure adequate records are maintained complying with the JGL Information Management System, e.g. Quality Assurance documentation, daily diaries and as built drawings
• Prepare and deliver daily site briefings
• Monitor all works activities to ensure the they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner
• Attend site meetings
• Give formal communications to clients and subcontractors including but not limited to Early Warnings, and instructions
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards
• Produce site documentation eg RAMS and ITP’s
• Ensure compliance with ITP’s
• Work collaboratively with the Client's team

To be successful in this position the Site Agent must have the following:

• A BSc, MSc, or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering aligned subject
• The ability to work well within a dynamic, fast-paced team, whilst working autonomously
• The ability to prioritise a varied workload effectively.
• Previous site experience in delivering projects to programme
• The ability to manage the installation of works to a high specification / quality
• The mindset to seek opportunities and problem solve with the design team and supply chain to identify programme and production opportunities
• Experience of working with Cofferdam Backfill, Clean Water pipework installation, Heavy Civils
