Site Agent ¦ Civil Engineering (Power & Energy)

Location: Regional Office - Cumbernauld
Site Based: Glasgow

Business Context:

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Agent with a strong background in managing projects for Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN). You will oversee a variety of civil engineering projects in a dynamic environment, working with a regional team responsible for infrastructure projects for clients including Local Authorities, Network Rail, and Environmental Agencies. Our portfolio includes projects like highways, bridges, tunnels, flood alleviation, and rail station infrastructure.

Role Summary:

The Site Agent will manage daily operations and ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects for Scottish Power & Energy Networks, adhering to time, budget, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure contract execution complies with legislation, contract terms, health and safety, work plans, and environmental standards.
2. Manage project delivery within schedule and budget constraints.
3. Liaise with site staff and surveyors to maintain tender allowances.
4. Monitor project progress to meet objectives.
5. Manage contract changes with the site team.
6. Report on contract progress to the Contracts Manager.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Site Agent in power, energy, or civil engineering projects.
• SMSTS certification.
• Degree/HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience at Site Agent or Sub Agent level in civil engineering, especially in energy projects.
• SPEN Authorisations per 5th Edition Safety Rules.
• CSCS card.
