Job summary

Balvac, a leading structural repair specialist and part of the Balfour Beatty Group, is seeking a Site Agent to join the Balvac team across UK infrastructure projects. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors and ensure delivery to time, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities include coordinating safety, production of PMP/ITP documents, and ensuring works comply with contract drawings and specifications. Experience in infrastructure schemes is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery of structural repair/specialist repair projects.
• Experience of working on Infrastructure schemes.
• Ability to manage teams efficiently.
• Ability to manage individual scheme costs.
• Ability to manage Health and Safety including Behavioural Safety.
• Ability to lead, communicate and influence with others to deliver targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project team and supply chain to deliver projects to time, cost and quality targets and standards.
• Ensure the Company procedures and policies i.e. the Business Management System are followed in delivery.
• Understand the relevant Contract terms and conditions for the project.
• Ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the contract drawings, specification and Project Management Plan.
• Manage site dimensional control ensuring that contractors have the facilities for setting out of the works.
• Produce all site documentation for delivery of the works including PMP, PVPMP, ITP, Construction Phase Management Plan etc as required across a number of schemes.
• Produce and review construction methods statements and risk assessments, ensuring that the works are constructed efficiently and safely.
• Produce scheme programmes then deliver to the programme, measuring progress and productivity outputs.

Our clients include National Highways as well as some of the major local authorities across the UK. Whilst our key focus is Transport Infrastructure, we also provide professional services across power, energy, industrial, defence, coastal & marine sectors.

With an ever-increasing portfolio and a major expansion planned, we are looking to identify several talented individuals (Contracts Engineers, Site Agents, Project Managers & Specialist Services Engineers) based across the country to join this high-octane energy driven team.

To provide the day-to-day management and supervision of Balvac and subcontract resources.

What you'll be doing

As a Site Agent, you will have the following accountabilities:
