Job summary

RG setsquare in Bristol is seeking a reliable Gateman/Traffic Marshall to join our site security team. The role focuses on controlling access, maintaining safety, and ensuring visitors and deliveries are managed efficiently.

You will operate gates and access systems, verify identities, keep logs, monitor CCTV, and provide friendly customer service to visitors and staff. A calm, professional appearance and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Gateman, Security Officer, or Gatehouse Operative preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the site.
• Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
• Maintain accurate records of all site entries and exits.
• Operate gates, barriers, and access control systems.
• Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activity.
• Carry out regular security patrols as required.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Report incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
