Job description

SISS Station Systems Technician - Level 4 - Plymouth, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join Telent's Engineering Team and be empowered to innovate and drive solutions, working alongside technical experts committed to making a significant impact. Be part of a high-performing team working on complex and critical infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the successful candidate will carry out planned preventative maintenance and assist with reactive maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, and SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). The role involves working permanent nights from Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am, based at Pirin Court Depot near Canning Town.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist qualified technicians in fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens.
  2. Attend planned, remedial, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  3. Ensure SISS assets are maintained and station communication faults are reported and resolved.
  4. Utilise field IT equipment for real-time maintenance data.
  5. Liaise with Telent Service Centre for task updates and fault resolution.
Candidate Profile:

This entry-level role is ideal for hands-on individuals who enjoy multi-tasking and learning. The role suits those with experience in a similar environment or understanding of Network Rail health & safety procedures.

Requirements:
  • CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background.
  • Good understanding of O365 and IT awareness.
  • Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to work nights from Pirin Court Service Centre.
