Job summary

Alpine F1 Team is seeking a Simulator Control Systems Engineer to join the Controls and Systems Group at Enstone. The role focuses on setting up and optimising chassis control for the driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulator and supporting trackside performance.

You will lead event development, system improvements, and bridge gaps between DIL and car control configurations, working under pressure in a fast-paced environment to help push for podiums.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Minimum three years' professional trackside experience.
• Strong knowledge of real-time control systems, mechatronics, hydraulics, and data analysis.
• Proficient in MATLAB and Simulink.
• Understanding of on-car hydraulic/electrical systems and F1 transmission tech.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform data-driven analysis.
• Excellent communication in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and optimise chassis control systems for the DIL simulator.
• Develop events and race support; improve simulator control systems.
• Bridge DIL and car control system configuration and usage.
• Liaise with engineering teams; provide analytical feedback.
• Contribute to other rigs, dynos, tests and car tasks as required.
