Alpine F1 Team is seeking a Simulator Control Systems Engineer to join the Controls and Systems Group at Enstone. The role focuses on setting up and optimising chassis control for the driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulator and supporting trackside performance.

A challenging and exciting role in which you will be responsible for setting up, monitoring and optimising the chassis control systems for the driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulator.
Primarily working closely with the Simulator Section Leader, you will develop events and race event support, as well as improving and developing Simulator control systems. Simulator support is the primary focus but there will also be tasks relating to the car Controls Group.
We are looking to strengthen our talented team with an experienced and motivated individual who has a minimum of three years\' professional experience in a high-performance trackside environment. You should be educated to degree level in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of real-time control systems, mechatronics, hydraulic systems, and data analysis. Professional experience programming in MATLAB and Simulink is essential. You should also demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of on-car hydraulic and electrical systems, current Formula One transmission technology, failure modes, and fault diagnosis techniques. A practical understanding of sampled data systems, signal processing, and data analysis methodologies is also required. We are seeking someone with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, who adopts a methodical, organised, and detail-oriented approach to their work. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, is essential, as well as the ability to perform effectively in a demanding and fast-paced trackside environment.
