A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Simulation Project Lead to join a department that is advancing the use of distributed simulation in weapon system design and development.

This role leads the delivery of simulation components using agile methodologies and reports to the senior engineering leadership team. You will guide a team of engineers working across demonstrators, system simulators, emulators, training simulators and experimentation tools to support systems exploration and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver real-time software and hardware-based simulation components that support the full weapon system lifecycle.
• Lead a multidisciplined team, balancing technical delivery, project planning and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive agile-based project execution, ensuring requirements are met and risks are proactively managed.
• Support integration of synthetic environments with visualisation tools in line with military and IEEE standards.
• Collaborate across engineering functions to deliver effective system representations.

The successful candidate will have:

• A strong background delivering software and/or hardware solutions for synthetic environments.
• Experience leading projects using agile methodologies and managing full lifecycle delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide engineering teams.
• A proactive approach to managing risk and changing requirements in complex technical settings.
