Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage is offering a 1-year undergraduate placement starting in September 2027 to work on system modelling and simulation of modern weapon systems. You will build performance models using MATLAB/Simulink, Fortran, and C/C++.

The role involves working onsite with a supportive team and agile practices. Eligible candidates are final-year undergraduates in Engineering, Mathematics or related fields; BPSS checks apply after offer.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate studying towards a degree in an Engineering discipline (incl. General, Mechanical, Manufacturing / Production, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Software), or Mathematics, Physics, Computing or Natural Science field.
• Interest in mathematical modelling and programming.
• Willing to undergo BPSS security checks after offer stage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use modelling and simulation to represent weapon system performance.
• Build and integrate system models using MATLAB/Simulink, Fortran, and C/C++.
• Work in Agile environments across multiple projects and collaborate with other teams.
