We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Simulation Educator to play a key role in our ambitious Hospital Transformation Programme. This exciting opportunity will support staff across our acute hospital sites to prepare for new clinical environments, pathways, equipment, and models of care through high-quality simulation-based education.
As a registered healthcare professional with experience in simulation and debriefing, you will design, deliver, and evaluate a wide range of simulation activities, including immersive, insitu, and process testing simulations. Work closely with clinical, operational, and transformation teams, identify risks, test new systems to support safe service redesign and implementation.
You will have a strong understanding of human factors, systems thinking, and simulation methodologies, with the ability to analyse data, produce meaningful reports, and provide evidence-based recommendations to support organisational readiness. You will be passionate about creating psychologically safe learning environments and enabling teams to build confidence and competence during a period of significant change.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to improving patient safety, staff experience, and service transformation while helping shape the future of healthcare delivery across the Trust.
If you are an experienced healthcare professional with a passion for simulation, education and quality improvement, we would love to hear from you.
The Simulation Educator will design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality simulation-based education to support organisational readiness during the Hospital Transformation Programme (HTP). Working across two acute hospital sites, the post holder will use simulation to prepare clinical and non-clinical teams for new environments, workflows, equipment, and models of care. The role ensures simulation activity aligns with ASPiH standards, incorporates human factors principles, and supports safe, effective transition to redesigned services.
We believe that compassionate care sits at the heart of everything we do. Every member of our team — clinical or non-clinical — plays a vital role in ensuring that patients, families, and colleagues are treated with dignity, empathy, and respect at all times.
We expect all staff to demonstrate compassion not only through their words, but through their actions: by listening attentively, communicating clearly and kindly, and recognising individual needs, feelings, and circumstances of those in our care.
Effective communication is central to safe and high-quality healthcare. We value colleagues who take the time to understand others, explain information in a meaningful way, and respond to concerns with patience and understanding.
By joining our team, you are committing to uphold these values — ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and valued, and that compassion is embedded in every interaction, every day.
