Job summary

Network Rail’s Bournemouth Maintenance Depot is seeking a safety-focused Signalling Maintenance Technician to support the Team Leader and deliver work to high standards. You will perform inspections, fault-finding, and renewal work on signalling equipment, ensuring tools and vehicles are maintained and records are kept.

The role is safety-critical, requires working days, nights, and weekends, and may involve stepping up as Team Leader. A valid driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in planning and implementing safe systems of work.
• Strong team player with ability to motivate and embed safety culture.
• Knowledge of signalling inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to drive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver work safely and efficiently in line with approved systems, standards, and procedures.
• Carry out inspections, maintenance, and fault-finding on signalling equipment.
• Ensure tools, vehicles, and equipment are fit for use and properly maintained.
• Accurately report completed work and maintain essential records.
