Job summary

Network Rail in Ramsgate is seeking a motivated Signalling Maintenance Technician to support the Team Leader, carrying out inspections, fault-finding, maintenance, renewal work, and occasionally stepping up as Team Leader. The role is safety-critical and involves working days, nights, and weekends.

You will need to be safety-focused, with experience in planning safe systems of work and ideally holding NVQ Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent) and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and implementing safe systems of work.
• Ability to motivate a team and reinforce safety culture.
• Knowledge of signalling inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.

Responsibilities

• Deliver work safely and efficiently in line with approved systems and procedures.
• Carry out inspections, maintenance and fault-finding on signalling equipment.
• Ensure tools, vehicles and equipment are fit for use and properly maintained.
• Accurately report completed work and maintain records.
