Job summary

Poppy Signs Ltd is recruiting an experienced Signage Sales Estimator to join our fast-growing team. You will visit clients on-site, understand signage needs, and prepare accurate quotations while coordinating with design and production to deliver tailored graphics and signs.

You will work closely with suppliers, manage customer queries, and contribute to developing standardized quotes to boost productivity and profitability. This role is full-time and based on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in signage sales or related roles.
• Good understanding of signage fabrication and substrates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in quoting software and design tools.
• Strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers, new and existing, on-site to assess signage needs and prepare quotations.
• Liaise with in-house design and production teams to meet project requirements.
• Create standardised quotes using the in-house CRM and assist business growth.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Make proactive calls to existing and lapsed customers to develop business.
• Keep up to date with prices and discuss new materials with suppliers.

Signage Sales Estimator

Job description:

We are a highly successful, fast growing, independently owned family company providing an extensive portfolio of products and services including vehicle wrapping and graphic application, bespoke signage, graphic design services and large format printing.

Due to a new contract, we are looking for an experienced sales estimator within the large format & signage industry.

About the role:

Working as part of a team you will be:

• Building up relationships with customers both new and existing, meeting clients on site to assess signage requirements, creating and following up quotations and processing orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaising with the in-house design team and production department to find the best solutions to meet the requirements of the projects and supporting the whole team in the day-to-day operations.
• Helping to create standardised customer quotes using in house CRM. Supporting the business as it grows, to develop and implement solutions to improve productivity and profitability.
• Dealing with all customer queries and issues.
• Making pro-active calls to existing and lapsed customers to develop business and build relationships.
• Liaising with suppliers to keep up to date with prices and discussing new materials and developments in the industry.

About you:

The ideal candidate:

• They have proven experience in the Sign industry or in a similar sales, account manager or sales administration role.
• They have a good understanding of signage fabrication and assembly.
• They have a good knowledge of printing materials and substrates.
• They possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent organisational skills, strong time management skills and a great team player ethos.
• They are proficient at using quoting software such as Clarity, Microsoft 365 and design programs such as Flexisign, Photoshop etc would be advantageous but not essential.
• They have a high level of commercial awareness.
• They are enthusiastic about finding solutions to produce interesting and high quality bespoke signage and graphics.
