Job summary

Semaphore is seeking an experienced Sign Fitting Technician to join our installation team in Cardiff. This hands-on role involves installing a wide range of signage and graphics across commercial, retail and corporate clients, with travel between sites and occasional overnight stays.

You will work both independently and as part of a team, using hand and power tools, and must have a full UK driving licence and a keen eye for detail. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sign fitting or a related trade.
• Able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Accurate measuring, setting out and installation of signage.
• Comfortable working at height and on varied sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install external and internal signage and graphics as listed.
• Travel to commercial, retail and construction sites; some overnight stays.
• Maintain health & safety on site and adhere to site rules.
• Remove and replace signage as required; perform remedial work.

SIGN FITTING TECHNICIAN WANTED

Full Time | Cardiff | Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Sign Fitting Technician to join our growing installation team.

We are an established signage and large-format graphics company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work for commercial, retail and corporate clients.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working on different projects and is confident working both independently and as part of a team.

THE ROLE

You will be involved in installing a wide variety of signage and graphics, including:

• External and internal signage


• Built-up letters and fabricated signs


• Illuminated signage


• Shopfront signage


• Vinyl graphics and manifestations


• Window and wall graphics


• Wayfinding and directional signage


• Large-format printed graphics


• Signage removal and replacement


• General remedial and maintenance work

You will work at a variety of commercial, retail and construction sites, with some travel and occasional overnight stays required.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Has previous experience in sign fitting or a related trade


• Is confident using hand and power tools


• Can accurately measure, set out and install signage


• Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in the finished job


• Can work from drawings, plans and job sheets


• Is comfortable working at height


• Can work independently without constant supervision


• Is reliable, punctual and well organised


• Has a professional attitude when dealing with customers and other contractors


• Understands the importance of health & safety on site


• Holds a full UK driving licence

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

The following would be an advantage but are not essential:

IPAF | PASMA | CSCS | Electrical/Illuminated Signage Experience
