Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training in Bromsgrove is seeking an experienced Signage Metal Fabricator to join a established signage manufacturing business. You will work on the manufacture of bespoke signage and metal components, involving MIG welding and reading technical drawings.

The role is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm with day shifts. This permanent position offers £16+ per hour, 25 days leave plus holidays, and a company pension. Previous signage fabrication experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in metal fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing.
• Strong MIG welding skills, ideally with aluminium and mild steel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Experience using fabrication tools and machinery.
• Good attention to detail and accurate measuring skills.
• A reliable, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous signage fabrication experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating aluminium sheet metal products and bespoke signage components to technical drawings.
• MIG welding aluminium and mild steel components.
• Cutting, folding, bending and shaping sheet metal to meet project specifications.
• Using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment to produce accurate components.
• Carrying out drilling, tapping, threading and countersinking.
• Measuring and checking finished components to ensure accuracy.
• Working alongside other production departments to ensure projects are completed to the required standard.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy and organised working environment.
