Job summary

Qualifications

• If assigned to a Title I school, must have 48 college credits or pass Para Pro.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in various settings inside and outside with mobility.
• Maintain agility to focus on students and activities.
• Move, lift or push objects; respond quickly to emergencies; wear protective gear when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and families.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and monitor progress.
• Communicate with staff to implement IEP objectives.
• Translate between voice and sign to aid communication.
• Instruct students, individually or in small groups, using SEE/ASL.
