Belman Performance Automotive (BPA) is seeking an experienced Siemens NX Designer to create bespoke jigs, fixtures and composite tooling for high-performance engineering projects in Daventry. You will deliver precise 3D models, detailed drawings and robust tooling concepts designed for manufacture.

Work with CAM, CNC and production teams to ensure tooling meets tolerances, quality, and efficiency goals. We value problem solving, independence and a track record in motorsport or aerospace sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience designing jigs, fixtures and bespoke manufacturing tooling.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing tolerances.
• Experience with composite tooling design, including lay-up tools or moulds.
• Knowledge of carbon fibre and composite manufacturing processes.
• Understanding tooling manufacture, assembly and inspection processes.
• Proficient reading engineering drawings and design for manufacture (DFM).
• Ability to manage multiple design projects independently.
• Prior experience in Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace or high-performance engineering.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, composite moulds and tooling using Siemens NX.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Design tooling to support composite component manufacture, including lay-up, bonding, trimming and assembly fixtures.
• Develop robust, cost-effective tooling solutions for complex manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with CAM programmers, CNC machinists, Production and Quality teams.
• Apply engineering principles, tolerancing and material selection to tooling designs.
• Review and refine existing tooling to improve efficiency, repeatability, and quality.
• Support projects from concept through to manufacture, assembly and validation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across tooling design and processes.
