Job summary

SYOS Aerospace UK is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Design Technician to provide mechanical CAD and drawing support for UK engineering and production teams. You will help with transitioning to Siemens NX and Teamcenter, ensuring models, drawings and data are accurate and ready for manufacture.

This is a 3-month contract with a possibility of extension. Key tasks include creating 3D models in NX, producing detailed drawings, managing data in Teamcenter, applying ECN-driven changes, and supporting

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, CAD or drawing office within engineering/manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong mechanical understanding and ability to read engineering drawings/specs.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, controlled documentation and revision management.
• Attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Create/update accurate 3D models of mechanical components using NX.
• Produce detailed, toleranced manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Manage CAD models/drawings in Teamcenter with proper revision control.
• Implement minor design updates from ECNs and keep docs up to date.
• Support production by ensuring design data is clear and manufacturable.
• Assist colleagues in adopting NX/Teamcenter and related processes.
