Job summary

SYOS Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Design Technician for a 3-month contract in the UK. You will provide mechanical CAD support, transition to Siemens NX and Teamcenter, and ensure designs are accurate and ready for manufacture.

You will create 3D models, produce detailed drawings, manage data in Teamcenter, apply ECNs, and collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability. Immediate start with potential extension.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design, CAD or drawing office within engineering/manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and update accurate mechanical component models using Siemens NX.
• Produce detailed, toleranced manufacturing drawings and assembly drawings.
• Maintain CAD models and data in Siemens Teamcenter with revision control.
• Implement minor design updates arising from ECNs.
• Support production, and ensure design information is clear for manufacture.
• Help colleagues adopt Siemens NX and Teamcenter and share knowledge.
