Job summary

Redkite Engineering Recruitment seeks a Controls / Automation Engineer to lead PLC/HMI programming and design robust control systems for diverse industries across the UK. The role involves on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and integration of IIoT/SCADA data to maximise performance.

Successful candidates will have proven Siemens PLC/HMI experience, a background in electrical schematics, and a full UK driving licence with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Proven, confident experience with Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
• Strong grounding in industrial automation and electrical schematics.
• Formal qualifications in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead Siemens PLC and HMI programming (TIA Portal, S7‑1200/1500, WinCC).
• Design control system architecture and electrical panels.
• Commission systems on-site and troubleshoot installations.
• Integrate IIoT, SCADA, and data analytics for maximum performance.
