Shillito Group are recruiting for a client looking for an experienced Siemens CNC Controls Engineer to join their engineering team.

This hands-on role involves setting up and commissioning CNC machines with Siemens Sinumerik controls, programming PLCs with STEP 7 and TIA Portal, fault finding across electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and supporting customer installations at site with occasional travel to client locations.

Competenze

• Experience with Siemens controlled CNC machinery in machine tool manufacturing, commissioning, service or retrofit environments.

Mansioni

• Setting up and commissioning CNC machines using Siemens Sinumerik controls.
• Programming and modifying Siemens PLCs using STEP 7 and TIA Portal.
• Configuring CNC controls, servo motors and Siemens drives.
• Fault finding across CNC controls, electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Testing machines and ensuring production readiness.
• Reading electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose problems.
• Traveling to customer sites for installations, commissioning and technical support.
